The Korean war was a war in the early 1950s part of the Cold War. It started when Kim Il-Sung, leading North Korea, decided to launch an attack against it\u2019s neighbors to the South, South Korea. North Korea had the upperhand until Harry S. Truman spent troops to aid South Korea, when North Korea looked menancing. North Korea was about to lose, but due to safety concerns, China had to step in save some ground from the Americans. Since, now, it was mostly US troops fighting against Chinese troops, China, under rule of Mao Zedong, who was notoriously known as known as one of the most ruthless leaders in history. China that year had bad economic growth, and lots of civilians were dying, so anything could have happened, if Mao wanted to go full throttle.\u00a0<\/span><\/h5>
Also, some allies of China could easily have joined in, such as Vietnam, the Soviet Union, Poland and also the United Kingdom, France, and Canada, if things got worse in the Korean War. And, the same thing can be said for the Vietnam war.<\/span><\/h5>
China winning the Korean War would result in being a new nation, called the United Republic or Korea, and more bad economic growth<\/span><\/h5>
More countries joining would result to a potential WW3. (Technically, countries in the UN, sent troops countries) Powerful countries, joining would result in all out bloodbath, and could be expand to more countries, instead of being in South Korea.\u00a0<\/span><\/h5>

Korea had been under Japanese rule for 35 years, and after the Japanese empire fell, The Soviet Union, and the United States decided to split Korea into two zones. Northern Zone, was under control by North Korea, and the Southern zone, was under control by the United States. Due to War tensions between the Soviet Union and the United States, both of these zones became Sovreign states, meaning they had full control of their territory, and thus both zones became independent countries.<\/span><\/h5>
On June 25, 1950, North Korean forces cross the South Korean border, with about 135,000 men. This reason for this was because the Leader of North Korea, named Kim Il-Sung, wanted South Korea to be under North Korea, so that the two would be united under the control of North Korea. United States immediately decided to step in to take back control of Seoul, who was under control of North Korea. China stepped in, and the UN stepped in, and China was at a big disadvantage only being backed up with the Soviet Union, with many countries and troops helping South Korea. Let\u2019s look into some outcomes that could have happened during the Korean war.<\/span><\/h5>
